The Choir at Holy Trinity

Ashford’s four-part robed choir helps lead the Sunday worship each week. Services regularly include Sung Eucharist, at which anthems are often performed. The congregation and choir are accompanied by one of two organists.

The choir frequently sings at weddings, baptisms and funerals. It also sings at various special services throughout the year, such as the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols; Passiontide choral services (such as ‘The Cross of Christ’ or ‘The Way of the Cross’); the Easter Day service; and the Service of Thanksgiving at the church’s annual Flower Festival.

Members of the choir sing in other local and national choruses, and at ‘away fixtures’ such as the New Mills ‘Festival of Choirs’ Choral Evensong.

Choir practice is held on Thursday evening in church at 6.45pm, and new members are always warmly welcomed.
